Things I love.

Here are some things from my old cell phone’s memory card that I love. Including Cheerleading, Edmonton Folk Music Festival, the old horribly racist yet wonderful mural in the gym at my high school and of course really expensive shoes. … Continue reading

Closet Cleaning

Let me begin with an apology, I’m sorry for neglecting you lovely blog. I needed some time away to sort out my life and now I’m back to write you once more.

On to the next thing!

This past few months have been fast ones! I’ve changed jobs, made new friends, relationships and moved foreword from a point in my life where i was stuck. In the last few months I’ve really made an effort to move away from the people and situations that dragged me down and caused me nothing but drama over the last few years.

I’ve heard people say, that you don’t know how unhappy you were until you consciously start doing things that make you happy. This totally rings true for me, once I started making positive choices like going back to cheerleading and coaching, even though it makes me stressed and mind-numbingly busy, I love it. I also left my job of four years to start over with a company that knew nothing about me! Talk about a scary step! Especially for a girl who hasn’t been to a serious job interview in four years. But I made it through and now am moving up in the job already!

I guess it just goes to show that if you lean on the RIGHT people for support, guidance, and love. trust your own decisions and are not afraid to take that scary step, you can conquer most life situations.

I’ve had quite the year and am quite ready to have 2012 start if not just for the excuse to buy a new years outfit and make some new goals.

type to you soon!

Five Things.

Lots of things make me happy, as I am a generally happy, level tempered person. But things sometimes make me really really happy and I fell like I should share them with you, my readers. So here is what is making me happy this week.

1. Chanel Nail Polish.

*missing: Black Satin.

I’ve been Loving Chanel’s Le Vernis Nail Colour since I’ve had a job and could afford them.  Nail polish is a large part of the reason that I stopped biting my nails.

2. Scarves

A Vintage scarf from my Aunt's Trunk of Goodies!

neck scarves, head scarves, beach scarves, winter scarves, really any scarf. I love them, they keep me warm and cozy.

3. The Eva O. Howard Theater at Victoria School for the Performing and Visual Arts.

The crossover in the Eva O. Howard.

This theatre is where I spent a large chunk of my extracurricular time in high school and in grade 12, students who made a contribution to the theatre are given the privilege of leaving their mark on the wall of the theatre be it a quote, painting, or just their name. Legend has it that Victoria Alumni Leslie Neilson has his name on the walls somewhere in that sacred space.

4. My family.

Aunt Betty

this is my Aunt Betty, she is an amazing woman who has done some amazing things, she was a teacher and I find her incredibly inspiring.

5. My Rain Gear.

Polo by Ralph Lauren Rain boots and Holt Renfre Umbrella

Whats better when it’s raining then to have awesome coloured rain gear?! I know! nothing, except matching nail polish. which I bet I have.

I’m Posting every Week in 2011!

Hi Readers!

This year I’ve decided I want to blog more. Rather than just thinking about doing it, I’m starting right now.  I will be posting on this blog once a week for all of 2011.

I know it won’t be easy, but it might be fun, inspiring, awesome and wonderful. Therefore I’m promising to make use of The DailyPost, and the community of other bloggers with similar goals, to help me along the way, including asking for help when I need it and encouraging others when I can.

If you already read my blog, I hope you’ll encourage me with comments and likes, and good will along the way.

XOXO
Samantha.
